Jask ( Persian شَهرِستانِ جاسک Jask County , also Jask ) is an administrative district ( Shah residue at ) in the province of Hormozgan in Iran . The administrative seat and the only city in the district is the port city of Bandar-e Jask .

The district, subdivided into the two districts ( Bachsch ) Dschask and Lirdaf, is the furthest south-east of the eleven administrative districts in Hormozgan. It is located at the eastern entrance to the strategically important Strait of Hormuz and extends along the northern shore of the Gulf of Oman on the Makran coast.

In the census of 2006, the population was 44,534 people in 9493 families in present-day territory of the county Jask County.

The district is crossed by two important highways, the 493 km long expressway 98 coming from the east from Tschahbahar to Bandar-e Jask and the 1720 km long expressway 91 coming from the north from Feyz Abad via Minab to Bandar-e Jask.
