The Dubrow Mountains are an elevation ( terminal moraine ) formed during the Ice Age in the state of Brandenburg . They are located about six kilometers southeast of Fürstenwalde / Spree in the Oder-Spree district in the triangle between the municipality of Langewahl , the district of Alt Golm of the municipality of Rietz-Neuendorf and the district of Neu Golm of the municipality of Bad Saarow .
The name is derived from the Sorbian "dub" for oak .
The Dubrow Mountains are well connected to both Berlin and Frankfurt / Oder via the A12 motorway just two kilometers to the north .
A radio tower was erected at its highest point (150 meters above sea level).
The extensive forest and the varied terrain of the Dubrow Mountains and the surrounding area are used by tourists for hiking and cycling. The Easter spring can be found in the Dubrow Mountains near the village of Langewahl.
