The Duck Creek ( English for " duck brook") is a creek about five kilometers long in the east of Toledo , Ohio .
It begins at Hecklinger Pond , a small pond off Interstate 280 . First it flows through Ravine Park and shortly afterwards the Collins Park golf course . Then it leaves the residential areas and reaches the port facilities of Toledo, where it flows into the Maumee River . The Duck Creek is the last tributary of the Maumee River before it flows into Lake Erie .
The lower reaches of the Duck Creek partially forms the border between Toledo and the neighboring city of Oregon . The Duck and Otter Creeks Partnership strives to improve the habitat on Duck Creek and neighboring Otter Creek . Restoration of the wetland in Ravine Park began in 2006.
