Dunai ( Nepali दुनै ) is a village and was a Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Dolpa District in the Karnali Province of western Nepal .
Dunai is located on the banks of the Thuli Bheri River at an altitude of 2103 m . Dunai is the seat of the district administration. A road leads from Dunai down the valley along the Thuli Bheri river. Dolpa Airport is 8 km west of Dunai .
At the 2011 census, Dunai had 2592 inhabitants (1327 men) in 672 households.
As part of restructuring the local level and the creation of Gaunpalikas (rural communities) by merging and abolition of the village development committee on 10 March 2017 Dunai was in the newly created city Thuli Bheri incorporated .
