Dunkelbunt (* December 1979 in Hamburg ; spelling [darkbunt] ; bourgeois Ulf Lindemann ) has lived as a freelance artist in Vienna since 2001 . He works as a musician , music producer , band leader , DJ and operator of his own record label .

Dunkelbunt is considered to be one of the pioneers in fusing Southeast European folklore , klezmer and swing with electronic music (see Electroswing ).

In recent years there have been collaborations with: Fanfare Ciocărlia , Boban Markovic Orkestar, Harri Stojka , Dela Dap , Amsterdam Klezmer Band , Tori Amos , Waldeck , Balkan Beat Box , 17 Hippies , The Cat Empire , Parov Stelar , Äl Jawala .
