useful information

The list of architectural monuments in Rösrath includes Durbusch 7, a listed building.

In the south, just before Eigen, on the Cologne-Kalk-Overath railway line, there is the Durbuscher railway tunnel, which connects the Agger and Sülztal and - as the only railway line in an east-west direction - the districts of Rhein-Berg , Rhein-Sieg and Oberberg . The construction of the tunnel, in which specialists from Italy and Croatia were also involved and which was financed by the Reusch industrialist family from Hope Valley, began in 1906. The breakthrough came in autumn 1909. In May 2017, the Rösrath History Association and the City of Rösrath proclaimed the tunnel “Monument of the Month”. In 1907, three Croatian tunnel builders committed a triple murder of a Durbusch innkeeper and his family, which resulted in the death penalty for the perpetrators.

With the Durbusch Guard from 1993, a carnival club is active in Durbusch .
