Oberschönrath

Oberschönrath is a hamlet in the border area between the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis and the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

District road 49 divides the settlement into two parts. While the northern part belongs to the Rösrath urban area (Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis), the southern part is assigned to the city of Lohmar (Rhein-Sieg-Kreis). The telephone code is that of Rösrath. Surrounding villages and hamlets are Fußheide in the north, Großenhecken and Kleinhecken in the northeast, Knipscherhof in the east, Schönrath Castle in the southeast, Rodderhof in the south and Georgshof in the northwest to the west.

Waters

A nameless orographically right tributary of the Gammersbach rises east of Oberschönrath.

Schönrath Castle is located southeast of Oberschönrath .
