Helmgesmühle is a watermill and a residential area that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Helmgesmühle is located in the west of the municipality of Lohmar. Surrounding towns are Kellershohn in the north, Klasberg , Hoverhof , Kirchscheid , Scheiderhöhe , Meigerhof and Feienberg in the northeast, Wielpütz in the east, Donrath , Heppenberg and Meigermühle in the southeast, Altenrath in the south and southwest and Bach and Sülz Castle in the northwest.

The Bervertsbach, an orographically left tributary of the Sülz, flows northwest of Helmgesmühle . A nameless left tributary of the Sülz flows southeast of Helmgesmühle. The Sülz, a right tributary of the Agger, flows south of the village .

history

In 1885 Helmgesmühle, then called "Helmchesmühle", had eight residents who lived in a single house.
