Gammersbacher Mühle is a watermill and a residential area that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia . The mill is a listed building .

Gammersbacher Mühle is located in the north-western part of the city of Lohmar. Surrounding villages and hamlets are Knipscherhof in the north, Gammersbach , Dachskuhl and Neuenhof in the northeast, Muchensiefen in the east, Hagerhof and Scheiderhöhe in the southeast, Klasberg in the south, Körferhof (to Rösrath ) and Kellershohn in the southwest, Rodderhof and Burg Schönrath in the northwest.

The Gammersbach, an orographically left tributary of the Sülz , flows through the village of Gammersbach. The water of the Gammersbach drives the still intact Gammersbacher mill.

The Gammersbacher Mühle is located west of Landesstraße 84 and southeast of Kreisstraße 39.

history

The Gammersbacher Mühle was first mentioned in 1613. In 1885, the Gammersbacher Mühle had six residents who lived in a single house.

Until 1969, the Gammersbacher Mühle belonged to the previously independent community of Scheiderhöhe .

Worth seeing

At the Gammersbacher Mühle there is a somewhat hidden wooden cross. It bears the inscription: "WALK AND PRAY FOR ME - OTHER ONE COMES AGAIN AND PRAYS FOR YOU"
