Heide is a hamlet that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

Heide is located in the northeast of the urban area of ​​Lohmar. Surrounding villages and hamlets are Oberstesiefen and Grünenborn in the north, Saal and Unterstesiefen in the northeast, Neuheim in the east, Ingersauel and Naafmühle in the southeast, Naaf and Büchel (near Naaf) in the southeast to the south, Bloch in the south, Mailahn in the southwest, Höffen and Kattwinkel in the west, Klefhaus in the northwest.

North and northwest of Heide arise two nameless orographically right tributaries of the Naafbach .

In order to avoid confusion with Heide near Lohmar-Ort, the name Aiselsfeld is also used. This is not only the street name of the street to Höffen hoch, but also an old hallway name.

history

In 1885 Heide had 40 inhabitants who lived in nine houses.

According to an address book from 1901, Heide had six farm workers and a teacher .

Until 1969, Heide belonged to the previously independent municipality of Wahlscheid .

When you come out of the Naafbachtal the last half-timbered house is on the left, the first school from Heide in the years 1838 to 1851. In a classroom of 35 square meters about 80 school-age children from Büschel, Heide, Höffen, Ingersauel, Kuckenbach, Naaf, Naafmühle, Upper height, upper depth, hall and lower depth taught. The Catholic children attended the Catholic school in Neuhonrath. In 1842 the school districts of Grünenborn, Maylahn and Bloch were also assigned to the school in Heide.

If we continue in the direction of Höffen, an old half-timbered house appears on the left. The von Heide school was housed here from 1852 to 1961. Today a tiler lives here.

On September 20, 1960 the foundation stone of the new school, which we can see on the right, was laid. On August 25, 1961, teacher Greek was able to move into school with 38 children. The Heider School was dissolved on August 1, 1968 according to a council resolution.

Today we go to Krebsauel under the sign of school buses for the primary school students.

Heide bei Höffen must not be confused with the Heide district, which also belongs to Lohmar, in the extreme southeast of Lohmar.
