Bombach is a hamlet that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

Bombach is located in the far north of Lohmar on the border with the city of Overath . Surrounding towns and hamlets are Kombach in the north, Weyerhof in the east, Hasenberg, Kulhoven and Kern in the south-east, Honsbach and Klein-Bombach in the south, Agger , Grünagger , Stöcken , Breideneichen and Naafshäuschen in the south-west, Hoven and Durbusch in the west and Dahlhaus , Unterdahlhaus and Schneppensiefen in the northwest.

The Kombach, an orographically right tributary of the Agger, flows north of Bombach . The Bombach flows through the village of Bombach and the Dahlhauser Bach flows south of Bombach, both also right tributaries of the Agger.

In 1885 Bombach had 24 residents who lived in three houses.

According to an address book from 1901, the place Bombach counted a farmer and a miller .

Until 1969, Bombach belonged to the previously independent municipality of Wahlscheid .
