Schiffarth is a hamlet that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Schiffarth is located in the northwest of Lohmar. Surrounding villages and hamlets are Spechtsberg and Scheid in the northwest, Wahlscheid in the northeast, east and southeast, Kirchbach and Mackenbach in the southeast, Hitzhof and Brückerhof in the south, Muchensiefen in the southwest and Oberscheid in the west.

Schiffarth is on the Agger . The Oberscheider Bach flows into the Agger as an orographically right tributary.

In 1885 Schiffarth had five houses and 41 residents.

Before the bridge was built, there was a ferry station in Schiffarth where people and goods were transferred by boat. The house opposite the Aggerschlößchen is the old ferry house. The last ferryman working there was Karl Fick.

Until 1969, Schiffarth belonged to the previously independent community of Scheiderhöhe .
