Höngen is located in the southwest of Lohmar. Surrounding villages and hamlets are Donrath in the north and north-east, Ungertz , Naaferberg and Grimberg in the north-east, Ellhausen in the east, Halberg in the south-east, Weegen and Donrath in the south, Donrath in the south-west, west and north-west.

Waters

The orographically left source river of the Ellhauser Bach, an orographically left tributary of the Agger , flows east along Höngen.
