Stump (Lohmar)

Stumpf is a hamlet that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

Stump is located in the northwest of Lohmar. The surrounding hamlets are Honrath in the north and north-west, Birken in the east, Gut Rosauel in the south-east and Weilerhohn in the south, Schiefelbusch in the south-west, Wickuhl and Meinenbroich in the north-west.

The Gammersbach, an orographically left tributary of the Sülz, rises to the northwest of Stumpf . A nameless right tributary of the Agger rises northeast of Stumpf . The Steffensbach, a right tributary of the Agger, rises to the southeast of Stumpf.

history

In 1885 Stumpf, at that time Stumph wrote, had 18 residents who lived in seven houses.

Until 1969, Stumpf belonged to the previously independent municipality of Wahlscheid .
