Surrounding villages and hamlets are Brückerhof in the north, Wahlscheid in the northeast and east, Kirchbach in the east, Mackenbach , Stolzenbach and Höngesberg in the southeast, Hammerschbüchel in the south, Scheiderhöhe and Schöpcherhof in the southwest, Hagerhof in the west and Muchensiefen and Oberscheid in the northwest.

To the northwest and southwest of Hitzhof arise two nameless streams that flow together in Hitzhof and flow into the Agger as an orographically right tributary .
