The meadows near Dreisel are a nature reserve in the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

The area comprises several sections of a former Siegaltarm between the villages of Dreisel and Helpenstell with extensive, species-rich wet and wet grassland and lean grassland on the slope of the Umlaufberg .

The protected area has an area of ​​73 ha . It is overgrown with Oat and Wiesenknopf Silgenwiesen and moist tall herbaceous meadows, there are also sedges and reeds here .

There are occurrences of the rare species of butterflies, the dark blue ant and the light blue ant , which depend on ants.

Disruptions

Presumably due to the use of old customary laws, the area was disrupted in 2010, for example due to the setting up of honey beehives and vehicle traffic after the protective fences were cut.
