Ahrenbach, Adscheider Tal is an FFH area in the town of Hennef (Sieg) in the Rhein-Sieg district . It is part of the European Natura 2000 network of protected areas.

location

The Ahrenbach and the Adscheider Tal lie west of the city ​​of Blankenberg . The stream rises north of the federal highway 8 and flows north into the Sieg near Stein .

surface

The reserve has an area of ​​141 ha . It is covered with wood-rush - Buchenwald and oat grass - and Burnet - Silgenwiesen . In the floodplain, grassland use predominates. In addition to intensely grazed pastures rich in rushes, there are also wet fallow land with tall herbaceous vegetation. Beech and oak hillside forests border the deeply incised spring depths. The valley system is predominantly accompanied by wooded slopes.
