location

The nature reserve has a size of 12.6  hectares and consists of two sub-areas in the communities of Eitorf and Windeck . The area is in parts of hallways 3 and 5 of the Geilhausen district and parts of hallways 8, 9 and 19 of the Merten district .

description

The richly structured deciduous forests with coppice and wood-rush -Buchenwäldern should with care measures, den trees and dead wood be rehabilitated. The rivers there ( Siefen ) still have pure underwater vegetation. The silicate rocks with moss areas and crevice vegetation make the geological fold visible.
