Adscheid is a district of the city of Hennef (Sieg) in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Adscheid is located south of the Sieg on a foothill of the Westerwald at 155 meters above sea ​​level . The eponymous mountain ridge (Scheid) is bounded by the Limersbach and the waters of the Adscheider Bach and Ahrenbach , which form an FFH area .

Adscheid was a monastery in the parish of Uckerath until the end of the 18th century . The places belonged to the honnship

Chapel of St. Agatha

The medieval chapel was first mentioned in 1687. The gardener of Michaelsberg Abbey left funds to equip and complete the chapel. In 1734 and 1858 the chapel was expanded. In 1926 the half-timbering of the chapel was plastered. In March 1945 the building was damaged by shell impacts, and the renovation lasted until 1949. In 1969 the old chapel was demolished and the village community built a new one.
