Heisterschoss [ -ʃɔs ] is the northernmost district of Hennef (Sieg) in the Rhein-Sieg district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The Wahnbach dam is in the immediate vicinity of the village . Landesstraße 352 runs through the village, which has been a section of German Alleenstraße since the end of 2007 . The village borders directly on the community of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid , whose nearest districts are Remschoss and Pinn .

history

The name is based on the old names Heister for young beeches and -schoß for a mountain ledge.

Heisterschoss belonged to the municipality of Happerschoss until 1956 , then to 1969 to the municipality of Lauthausen . As part of the municipal reorganization of the Bonn area , the village of Heisterschoss came to the then newly formed municipality of Hennef (Sieg) on August 1, 1969.
