history

In 1885 Kreuznaaf had 28 residents who lived in seven houses.

From 1870 to 1875 a mill was built in Kreuznaaf, which was driven with dammed Naafbach water. The wheat and rye flour produced was processed in an additional bakery from 1920. The products were sold under the name "Aggertaler Brot". In 1972 the mill and a little later the bakery ceased operations.

From the 1930s, buildings were erected on the hillside above Kreuznaaf, which originally served for the production of a leather goods factory, later also as a training center for the Ford works and asylum seekers' accommodation. The building complex is also known as "Castell Steineck".

Until 1969, Kreuznaaf belonged to the previously independent municipality of Wahlscheid .
