Kuckenbach

Kuckenbach is a hamlet that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Kuckenbach is located in the northeast of the city of Lohmar. Surrounding towns are Neuheim in the southeast, Ingersauel in the south, Unterstesiefen in the southwest, Saal in the west, Oberstesiefen , Oberstehöhe , Holl and Grünenborn in the northwest and Viersbrücken in the far north.

The Naafbach flows northeast and east past Kuckenbach. The Siefer Bach, an orographically right tributary of the Naafbach, flows past Kuckenbach in the west and south-west.

history

In 1885 Kuckenbach had 29 residents who lived in seven houses.

Until 1969, Kuckenbach belonged to the previously independent municipality of Wahlscheid .
