Surrounding villages and hamlets are Reelsiefen in the north, Höngesberg , Peisel , Röttgen and Kreuznaaf in the northeast, Ungertz in the east, Donrath in the southeast, south and southwest, Büchel and Heppenberg in the southwest, Meigermühle in the west and Wielpütz and Scherferhof in the northwest.

The Agger flows west along Besenbroich.

Besenbroich is surrounded by large, agriculturally used meadow areas.
