Ingersauel is a hamlet that belongs to the town of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Ingersauel is located in the northeast of the urban area of ​​Lohmar. Surrounding villages are Neuheim and Kuckenbach in the north, Meisenbach and Ohlig in the northeast, Schmitten in the southeast, Rippert in the south, Naafmühle , Naaf and Büchel in the southwest, Mailahn and Höffen in the west and Heide , Unterstesiefen and Saal in the northwest.

In the north and west, two nameless orographically right tributaries of the Naafbach flow along the Ingersauel. In the east and south the Naafbach, a left tributary of the Agger , flows around Ingersauel.

history

In 1885 Ingersauel had 53 residents who lived in 15 houses.

According to an address book from 1901, five farm workers , five craftsmen , a food retailer and a wafer manufacturer lived in Ingersauel .

Until 1969 Ingersauel belonged to the previously independent municipality of Wahlscheid .

The Ingelsaueler Mühle was closed in 1977 as part of the planning for the Naafbachtalsperre. The Gasthaus Ingersauler Mühle is now used as a residential building. It stands in the municipality of Seelscheid on the left side of the Naaf.
