Scheiderhöhe is a district of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1969 Scheiderhöhe was an independent municipality.

Scheiderhöhe is located in the west of the urban area of ​​Lohmar on the orographically right ridge to the Aggertal . Surrounding hamlets and towns are Klasberg , Hagerhof , Kirchscheid and Hoverhof in the north, Schöpcherhof in the northeast, Hammerschbüchel , Höngesberg and Reelsiefen in the east, Scherferhof and Wielpütz in the south and Meigerhof , Feienberg , Meigermühle and Heppenberg in the west to southwest.

An orographically left nameless tributary of the Sülz rises in Scheiderhöhe .

Scheiderhöhe community

The villages on the Scheiderhöhe belonged to the Porz office in the Duchy of Berg until the beginning of the 19th century . From 1806 to 1814 Scheiderhöhe was part of the Mairie Lohmar in the Arrondissement of Siegburg with the surrounding villages , later in the Arrondissement of Mülheim am Rhein , which was assigned to the Department of Rhine . According to the agreements made at the Congress of Vienna , the Rhineland became part of the Kingdom of Prussia . The community Scheiderhöhe was assigned to the mayor's office Lohmar (from 1927 Amt Lohmar ) in the district of Siegburg (from 1825 Siegkreis ) in the administrative district of Cologne .

In 1885 the community Scheiderhöhe had 723 inhabitants (349 men and 374 women) who lived in 154 houses, spread over 35 individual farms and hamlets. There were 585 Catholics and 138 Protestant residents in the parish. The municipal area of the municipality was 1,092 hectares , of which 651 ha of arable land, 70 hectares of meadows and 297 hectares of forest.

On August 1, 1969, the Lohmar office, to which the Scheiderhöhe municipality had previously belonged administratively, was dissolved as part of the municipal reorganization of the Bonn area ( Bonn Law ) and the Scheiderhöhe municipality was incorporated into the newly formed, non-office municipality Lohmar .
