Siegburg arrondissement
The Arrondissement Siegburg , also District Siegburg , was created on August 3, 1806 under Joachim Murat as one of initially six provisional administrative units of the Grand Duchy of Berg .
The Arrondissement Siegburg had 69,264 inhabitants and was divided into eight subordinate administrative areas that emerged from the previous structures:

With the reorganization of the administrative structures in the Grand Duchy in 1808, the Arrondissement of Siegburg was dissolved. The municipalities were divided into the arrondissement of Mülheim am Rhein in the department of Rhine and the arrondissement of Siegen in the department of Sieg .
Anton Jakob Vetter became the first provincial councilor. He was born in 1753 and came from Elberfeld . Before that he was a judge and tax collector. On September 2, 1806 he opened his administrative headquarters in the former Michaelsberg Abbey with the Provincial Secretary Clemens August Kobell . June 1808 he was transferred to the war and domain chamber in Hamm as commissioner of the government .
His successor was Provincial Councilor Hermann.
