Agger is a district of Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Agger is located in the northern part of the urban area of Lohmar on the border with the city of Overath . The surrounding districts and hamlets near Agger are Honrath in the west , Honsbach in the east, Neuhonrath in the southeast and Naafshäuschen in the south . Also to the south is the large Lohmar district of Wahlscheid . Agger lies along the federal highway 484 between Wahlscheid and Overath.

The Jexmühlenbach flows through the village of Agger and flows right into the name-giving river Agger, which flows past Agger .

history

In 1885 the hamlet of Agger had 11 residents who lived in four houses.

According to an address book from 1901, the village of Agger had two farmers , a baker and a vendor .

Until August 1, 1969, the place belonged to the previously independent municipality Wahlscheid .
