The Dussmann Group is a German service provider .
history
Peter Dussmann (1938–2013) founded Dussmann Heimpflegedienst GmbH in Munich in 1963 . In the 1970s and 1980s, new services were added and the company entered the office service sector with Pedus Office . In 1985, the company took over management of seven senior citizens' homes, thereby establishing the Kursana division . In 1997 the cultural department store Dussmann was opened in Berlin . In 2017, the Dussmann Group achieved total sales of EUR 2.20 billion with around 64,500 employees.
In September 2007 Peter Dussmann resigned from the management team after suffering a stroke. His wife, Catherine von Fürstenberg-Dussmann , took over the chairmanship of the Dussmann Group's supervisory board in April 2009 and is now the chairwoman of the board of trustees.

Dussmann service
The largest division, Dussmann Service, offers building services, e . B. Building technology , building cleaning , catering , security services , commercial management. Dussmann Service is active in 17 countries and has 52 branches and support points in Germany. In 2017, Dussmann Service achieved sales of 1,756 million euros.
Dussmann Office
The Dussmann Office division also provides office services, including the provision and rental of virtual offices and complete offices.
Kursana
The Kursana GmbH of the Dussmann Group is a service provider in the field of elderly care and support. It was created in 1985 from the takeover of management for seven senior citizens' homes and today comprises 116 retirement and care facilities for 13,600 senior citizens in Germany , Austria , Switzerland , Italy and Estonia .
Culture department store
The Kulturkaufhaus, opened in 1997 in Berlin-Mitte , Friedrichstrasse, offers books, CDs, DVDs, audio books, software and other office supplies on five floors and 7,000 m² of retail space.
CultureKindergarten
The Dussmann KulturKindergarten non-profit GmbH operates day-care centers close to the company throughout Germany.
Dresden refrigeration plant construction
Dresdner Kühlanlagenbau , founded in 1953 as VEB Kühlanlagenbau Dresden and privatized in 1992 as Dresdner Kühlanlagenbau GmbH , has belonged to Dussmann since 2013 .
