Dustin Watten (born October 27, 1986 in Long Beach , California ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Watten began his career at Wilson High School in his hometown. In 2004 he began his studies at California State University, Long Beach and played on the university team. After graduating in 2009, he initially kept fit in a training center for the US national team . With the team he won the Pan American Cup in 2009, 2010 and 2012. In 2010, Watten got a contract with the Finnish club Raision Loimu through a player friend . In the first season he was the best libero in the league. In 2012 he moved to the French second division club Association Sportive Orange Nassau. A year later he went to Maringá in Brazil. In 2014 Watten returned to the French league and played for Gazélec FC Ajaccio . With Ajaccio he also took part in the CEV Cup and received an award as the best acceptance player. With the national team he was third in the world league in 2015 . He also won the World Cup . In the 2015/16 season he was active at Grand Nancy Volley Ball. With the US team, he finished fifth in the 2016 World League . Then he moved to the Polish first division club Czarni Radom . He finished the 2017 World League with the USA in fourth place. In the Nations League 2018 he was third with the national team. Then he was hired by the German champion Berlin Recycling Volleys . With the club he reached the semifinals of the DVV Cup in the 2018/19 season and won the German championship . He then moved to the Polish association GKS Katowice .
