Dylan Moran
Dylan Moran (born November 3, 1971 in Navan , County Meath , Ireland ) is an Irish actor and comedian.
Life
Dylan Moran has been a comedian at The Comedy Cellar club in Dublin since 1992 . In 1993 he received the So You Think You're Funny award at the Edinburgh Festival . He received the Perrier Comedy Award in 1996 for his show Gurgling for Money .
Moran made his actor debut on the comedy television series How Would You Like Me? ( How Do You Want Me? ) In which he starred in 1998 and 1999. In the comedy Notting Hill (1999) with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant , he played the book thief Rufus in a minor supporting role . In the comedy The Actors (2003) he played one of the leading roles alongside Michael Caine .
From 2000 to 2004 Moran starred in the comedy television series Black Books , for which he also wrote some screenplays. For this role he won the BAFTA Award in 2001 and 2005 . In 2000 he was nominated for the British Comedy Award , in 2004 he was nominated for the IFTA Award .
Moran has been married since 1997 and has two children. He lives in Edinburgh .
