Dynapac is a Swedish mechanical engineering company based in Karlskrona . The company was founded in 1934 and has locations in seven countries. Dynapac manufactures pavers , feeders , rollers and milling machines. In October 2017 the company was taken over by the French Fayat Group.

history

In 1934 AB Vibro betong was founded in Stockholm . Hilding Svenson developed the plate compactor in 1936. In 1940 the company changed its name to AB Vibro-Verken.

As early as 1947, the company brought the first vibratory disc compactor onto the market. It weighed 1.5 tons and was nicknamed "Frog". The first research laboratory opened in 1948, and the company manufactured the first vibratory roller in 1953. During these years global production sites were also opened: in 1941 in Ljungby, Sweden, in 1946 in the USA, 1958 in Brazil and in 1960 the site in Karlskrona, Sweden was opened. This contained the technical center of the company and makes large rollers. In 1973 the company changed its name to Dynapac and expanded its product range.

Dynapac opened its first production facility in China in 2001, which was expanded just five years later. In the same year a new production facility was opened in the USA. In 2008 the production facility opened in India and since 2009 there are sales centers in the USA and Belgium. Dynapac became part of the Atlas Copco Group in 2007. In the course of the takeover by the Fayat Group in 2017, Dynapac changed the colors of its machines to red, white and gray.
