Hoeselt ( Limburgish : Hoeiselt ) is a Belgian municipality in the east of the Flanders region with around 9,688 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019). It consists of the main town and the districts Romershoven , Schalkhoven , Sint-Huibrechts-Hern and Werm .

Tongeren is seven kilometers south, Maastricht twelve kilometers east, Hasselt 14 kilometers northwest, Liège 24 kilometers south and Brussels around 75 kilometers west.

The next motorway exit is on the outskirts of Hoeselt / Bilzen on the A13 / E 313 .

There are regional train stations at Bilzen , Diepenbeek and Tongeren.

Maastricht Aachen Airport and Liège Airport are neighboring regional airports and Brussels National Airport near the capital Brussels is the nearest international airport.
