Emma6 (proper spelling: EMMA6 ) is a German indie - rock - and pop band that in 2005 Heinsberg was founded. It includes singer and guitarist Peter Trevisan, his brother Henrik on drums and bassist Dominik Republik. Guitarist Florian Sczesny has been accompanying Emma6 on live performances since 2016.

The name of the band is based on the first name of a Scottish exchange student who was a guest in Heinsberg, and an allusion to the British secret service MI6 , for which the film character James Bond, who is popular with the band members , works.

Among other things, as the opening act for Wir sind Helden , Emma6 already gained extensive concert experience before her first single Paradiso was released in April 2011 , which made it into the German single charts. In the same year they played their first own tour across Germany. The band also used 2012 to produce their second album, Fit, with the help of Mark Tavassol , bassist for Wir sind Helden.

While the predecessors appeared on the major label Universal Music, Emma6 released her third album We were never here (2017) on the Hamburg indie label Ferryhouse . Florian Sczesny wrote the title song. The album was recorded live at the Energiekreis Zuckerhut Studios in Bonn and produced by David Maria Trapp. The band reduced the use of synthesizers and used acoustic guitars, piano, wind instruments and strings. This album also made it into the German charts for a short time. The subsequent tour was largely sold out.

In 2020 the EP possibilities appeared , in which Sczesny was also involved. It contains four songs with a deliberately reduced sound.
