The EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH (short: EMO ) is a shipping company in Emden and a subsidiary of AG Ems , the special ships and maritime services for the construction and maintenance of offshore wind farms offer.

history

EMO was founded in 2010 as a wholly owned subsidiary of AG Ems in Emden, East Frisia . Together with the company SSC Wind GmbH and Bernhard Schulte Offshore GmbH EMO in 2011 as part of a has joint venture the Windea Offshore GmbH & Co. KG , based in Hamburg founded. The company is to bundle the services of all partners. Buss Offshore Solutions has also been involved in this since 2018 .

EMS Maritime Offshore BV , based in Eemshaven ( Netherlands ), was founded in 2016 . It operates a service base for the Merkur offshore wind farm here . On the Rysumer Nacken, EMO GmbH operates the Port Knock as a service base, which will be used in 2018/2019 for MHI Vestas to commission the OWF Borkum Riffgrund 2 .
