The Fast Crew Supplier 2610 is a type of ship from the Dutch shipyard Damen Shipyards Gorinchem .

The ships are designed for the quick transfer of personnel for the construction or maintenance of offshore structures such as B. Offshore wind farms or structures in the offshore oil and gas industry. They are made of aluminum. The hull is designed as a catamaran . It is based on the shipyard's “Sea Ax” concept.
The drive of the vessels is provided by two four-stroke - twelve-cylinder - diesel engines of the manufacturer Caterpillar (type C32 TTA), each with 895 kW power . The motors act on a fixed propeller via gears . The maximum speed that the ships can reach is given as 25 kn . The range of the ships is at least 1,200 nautical miles . Two Caterpillar generator sets (type: C2.2T) with 22.5 kW output each (28 kVA apparent output ) are available for the power supply.
The ships are equipped with two bow thrusters , each with an output of 52 kW.
There is an open deck in the midship area . The open deck area is 90 m². The deck can be loaded with 1.5 t / m². A maximum of 15 t of load can be loaded on deck. The deck can be fitted with container fittings so that up to four 10-foot or up to two 20-foot containers can be driven on deck. A hydraulically operated crane with which loads can be moved is installed on the port side.
In front of the open deck there is a platform or gangway slightly above the main deck, via which personnel can transfer to offshore structures. For approaching offshore structures, the entire bow area of the ships is provided with rubber fenders in this area .
A platform can be installed at the stern that can be used for diving or rescue operations. In order to be able to use the ships for measurements and water science tasks, the installation of a moon pool is planned in the main deck in front of the deckhouse.
The ships are driven by a crew of four . In the deckhouse there are twelve seats for people to be transported. At the level of the main deck, there are lounges and cabins for the crew in the deckhouse. The shipyard plans to have three cabins in which up to six people can be accommodated. The layout on the main deck can be adapted according to customer requirements, so that e.g. B. a changing room for workers can be kept.
After the introduction of the ship type, the shipyard modified the specifications based on customer feedback so that the deckhouse was extended and moved closer to the stern of the ship. In addition, the area in which the passengers are located has been structurally separated from the bridge. It is also possible to accommodate the seats for people to be transported on the main deck instead of on the bridge deck. With the Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2008 , the shipyard also offers a slightly smaller boat for passenger transfer.
