The Fast Crew Supplier 2008 is a type of ship from the Dutch shipyard Damen Shipyards Gorinchem . It is based on the slightly larger Damen Fast Crew Supplier 2610 .

description

The ships are designed for the quick transfer of personnel for the construction or maintenance of offshore structures such as B. Offshore wind farms or structures in the offshore oil and gas industry. They are made of aluminum. The hull is designed as a catamaran . It is based on the shipyard's “Sea Ax” concept.

The drive of the vessels is carried out by two four-stroke - eight-cylinder - diesel engines of the manufacturer MTU (type: 8V2000 M72), each with 720  kW power , which gearbox depending on a fixed propeller act. The maximum speed that the ships can reach is given as 25  kn . The range of the ships is at least 700  nautical miles . Two Caterpillar generator sets (type: C2.2T) with 22.5 kW power (28.1  kVA apparent power ) each are available for the power supply.

There are open deck areas in front of and behind the deckhouse . The open deck area is 50 m² (30 m² in front of and 20 m² behind the deckhouse). The deck can be loaded with 1.5 t / m².
