Earth AD / Wolfs Blood (European version: Wolfs Blood / Earth AD ) was the second and final album by the American horror punk band The Misfits , which was recorded with Glenn Danzig . Side A is called Earth AD , side B is called Wolf's Blood .
Origin and style
It was actually planned to release both sides as EPs , but since the band was to split up a short time later, it was decided to release them as a long-playing record. The style is harder than on previous recordings and is therefore assigned to hardcore punk .
background
The song Earth AD was partly inspired by the movie Hill of Bloody Eyes , Queen Wasp by the movie of the same name and The Wasp Woman .
Devilock takes its name from the hairstyle that Jerry Only "invented" in 1979 and was worn by band members and fans of the group.
Green Hell is based on the film of the same name or its sequel, The Monster From Green Hell , Bloodfeast on the film of the same name .
Mommy Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight? can only be found on Plan 9 pressings after 1984 and was already included in a live version on Walk Among Us , the studio version, which was recorded in 1981, was remastered to keep the sound of the album.
Death Comes Ripping and Bloodfeast was actually written by Danzig for Samhain , but was used anyway because of missing tracks.
