Eastern Standard Time is a ska - jazz band from Washington DC (USA).
history
Eastern Standard Time was founded in Washington DC in 1995, the following year the first EP, “Take 5”, was released on WFN5 Records . The first album "Second Hand" was also released in 1997 on WFN5 Records. The band quickly gained a permanent place in the international ska scene and has been touring Europe , Canada and the USA regularly since the late 1990s . Further publications appeared on various American and European labels .
The music of Eastern Standard Time is ska jazz with strong reggae, soul and other Caribbean influences, it is considered an excellent live band.
