The Eau Froide is an 11.3 kilometer long river in the canton of Vaud .
The river Eau Froide rises above Roche and then flows in a southwesterly direction to Roche. Here the Eau Froide makes a right-angled curve to the north and flows into Lake Geneva about 4.5 kilometers later at Villeneuve between the Grand Canal and the Tinière . The river showed its dangerousness in August 2007 when it turned into a raging river and left severe damage in the village of Roche.
