Eberhard Beschnitt
Eberhard Beschnitt (born November 9, 1933 in Chemnitz ; † March 2, 2011 there ) was a German politician of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). He was general director of various combines and in 1983/84 deputy minister for machine and processing machine construction in the GDR.
Life
Beschnitt, the son of a fitter, learned the trade of machine tool fitter from 1948 to 1950 at the Niles company in Chemnitz. In 1953 he earned his Abitur at the Workers and Farmers Faculty in Chemnitz . Until 1959 he studied textile machine construction at the University of Mechanical Engineering in Karl-Marx-Stadt and graduated as a qualified engineer . From 1958 to 1960, Beschnitt was the first secretary of the Free German Youth (FDJ) at the university.
From 1960 to 1965, Beschnitt was an assistant, later a designer, department head and chief designer at VEB Loom Construction Karl-Marx-Stadt and then department manager until 1970, then technical director at VVB Textilmaschinenbau Karl-Marx-Stadt. From 1967 to 1971, Beschnitt was the director of the VE combine knitting and knitting machine construction in Karl-Marx-Stadt (Textima). From 1967 to 1971 he was also a member of the SED district leadership in Karl-Marx-Stadt.
1986 was trimming at the Technical University of Karl-Marx-Stadt with a thesis on the conditions of high rates of innovation in engineering doctorate . From 1978 to 1983 he was director for foreign trade and domestic trade of the VE Kombinat Textilmaschinenbau Karl-Marx-Stadt. From 1972 to 1989, Beschnitt was a member of the Research Council of the GDR and from 1983/84 Deputy Minister for Machine Tool and Processing Machinery. From 1984 to 1989 he was General Director of the Polygraph Combine in Leipzig .
After the turning point and peaceful revolution in the GDR , Beschnitt was initially taken over and until 1991 was the managing director of Contacta GmbH, which emerged from the Polygraph combine . From 1992 to 1994 he was head of an architectural office in Leipzig.
