Eberhard Carl (born May 13, 1965 in Gündringen ) is a German soccer coach and former Bundesliga player . The 1.81 m tall and 75 kg heavy Carl played in the position of an attacker .

Career

Eberhard Carl played in his youth at SV Gündringen, the sports club in his hometown. In 1986 he moved to the Württemberg Association for SV Böblingen , where he scored 37 goals in 61 games. After a year at 1. FC Pforzheim , Carl moved to the Bundesliga for Karlsruher SC in 1989 . There he played until 1997 and then went to the Stuttgarter Kickers in the 2nd Bundesliga . In total, Carl completed 235 league games in German professional football and scored 33 goals. With the end of his professional career in 2000, he returned to Pforzheim in the football league Baden-Württemberg for a year . There he scored 13 goals in 33 games before moving to TSV Haiterbach in 2001 , where he became player-coach in 2002. The next station as a coach was SV Böblingen in the 2004/05 season. From 2005 to 2007 Carl was the coach of the national league club VfL Herrenberg. In the second half of the 2009/10 season he coached 1. FC Calmbach, after which he was head coach of TSV Phönix Lomersheim from 2010 to 2013.

Since July 1, 2013, Eberhard Carl has been sports director at the 1st CfR Pforzheim .

Today Carl has withdrawn from the active football business and is now professionally and voluntarily committed to children and young people with and without a migration background.

successes

Carl's greatest successes as a player were the sixth places in the Bundesliga with Karlsruher SC in the 1992/93 , 1993/94 and 1996/97 seasons , the finals in the DFB Cup 1995/96 and the semi-finals in the UEFA Cup 1993 / 94 ; Among other things, he was on the pitch for the full playing time at the Miracle of the Wildlife Park .
