Eberhard Freiherr von Scheurl

Eberhard Freiherr Scheurl von Defersdorf (born May 11, 1873 in Nuremberg ; † April 27, 1952 in Fischbach ) was a German lawyer and professor at the Nuremberg Commercial College .

Life

Eberhard belonged to the Scheurl von Defersdorf patrician family from Nuremberg . After graduating from Melanchthon High School in Nuremberg , von Scheurl studied law. During his studies in Erlangen in 1891 he became a member of the Bubenreuther fraternity . In 1897 he received his doctorate from the University of Erlangen . In 1922 he was appointed full professor for constitutional and administrative law at the Nuremberg Commercial College. In 1926 he also became an honorary professor at the University of Erlangen. From 1925 to 1946 he was President of the Pegnese Flower Order . In November 1933 he signed the German professors' confession of Adolf Hitler . From 1935 to 1937 he was deputy chairman of the Martin Luther Bund under Friedrich Ulmer .
