Eberhard Gockel (also Eberhard Göckel , born July 18, 1636 in Ulm ; † February 14, 1703 ibid ) was a German physician, personal physician from Princely Württemberg and a member of the “ Leopoldina ” academy of scholars .

Life

Eberhard Gockel was a doctor in Waiblingen , later in Giengen and finally in Ulm, where he also worked as the Duke of Württemberg's personal physician from Württemberg-Weiltingen.

He was a fan of chemiatry and had a special reputation as a healing artist at that time. He published with reference to the Leopoldina members Daniel Sennert and Christian Franz Paullini .

The Jestetter doctor and pharmacist Johann Christoph Gockel was one of Eberhard Gockel's sons.

On January 20, 1685, Eberhard Gockel with the nickname ALECTOR was accepted as a member ( matriculation no. 129 ) in the Leopoldina .
