The Lochbusch-Königswiesen nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the urban district Neustadt an der Weinstrasse and the Bad Dürkheim district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 199.01 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection by ordinance of September 5, 1983 , extends between Geinsheim , a district of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, in the south-west and the local community of Hanhofen in the east. The area is traversed by the Speyerbach in a west-east direction . At the southern edge of the area the B 39 runs in parts , not far to the east the L 529 road runs .

The area includes fen , wet meadow , forest edge and forest communities.
