Haardtrand - Im Baumgarten is a nature reserve within the Bad Dürkheim district . It has existed since 1990. The area is a total of 39.6 hectares and is located in the districts of the local parishes of Battenberg and Kleinkarlbach . Immediately west are from him the Battenberg Castle , the natural monument flash tubes that Battenberg Martin Church , as well as the settlement area. The protection purpose is the preservation of the "area characterized by a diverse pattern of use made up of vineyards with different management intensities, fruit plots, shrubbery and fringing biotopes, forest and forest edge areas, dry stone walls and vineyard terraces ".
