Eberhard (II.) Von Waldburg (* in the 13th century; † February 19, 1274 or February 20, 1274 in Konstanz or Gottlieben ) was Prince-Bishop of Konstanz from 1248 to 1274.

Eberhard von Waldburg came from the Guelph - Hohenstaufen ministerial family of the Truchsessen von Waldburg . The family seat was the Waldburg .
He was a son of the Steward Eberhard of pine forest castle and his first wife Adelheid.
Life
Eberhard von Waldburg became canon in the Konstanz Minster in 1235 . From 1236 to 1248 he was provost of St. Stephan in Constance. In 1241 he was a priest in Messkirch .
He followed his uncle Heinrich von Tanne as Bishop of Constance in 1248 . From 1262 he worked as guardian and advisor to the underage Staufer Konradin , who was executed on October 29, 1268 in Naples. In 1251 he had Gottlieben Castle built at the gates of Constance.
As a bishop he had to do with numerous conflicts, in particular with the city of Constance and the prince abbey of St. Gallen . As patron of the Obermarchtal monastery , he went to the field against his relatives, the taverns of Winterstetten ( Konrad von Winterstetten ). Shortly before his death, he joined the Habsburg King Rudolf I. of.
Eberhard von Waldburg was buried in the Constance Minster .
