Eckard Lindemann
Eckard Lindemann (born June 8, 1937 in Stettin ) is a German lawyer and local politician ( CDU in Berlin ). From 1979 to 1985 he was district mayor of Berlin-Charlottenburg .
Life
Lindemann came to Berlin from Stettin in 1948. On Schillergymnasium in Charlottenburg he passed the Abitur and studied from 1957 to 1961 at the Free University of Berlin , at the University of Saarbruecken and Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn Law . From 1961 to 1965 he was a trainee lawyer at the Higher Regional Court of Celle and passed the state exams in Berlin. After that he was a lawyer and notary.
Lindemann has been a member of the CDU since 1960, was a district councilor in Charlottenburg from 1971 to 1975 and a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1978 to 1979 . From 1979 to 1985 he was district mayor of Charlottenburg.
During his time as district mayor, the corruption affair involving building city councilor Wolfgang Antes , with whom he was in a personal feud, took place. While files repeatedly disappeared in the administrative area of Antes, so that internally there was talk of the " Bermuda Triangle ", the building city council unabashedly called his superior Lindemann "Chaoten-Ecki". These animosities also dominated the Charlottenburg district association of the CDU, and possibly even had their origin there. Lindemann was replaced by Baldur Ubbelohde in 1985 . After retiring from politics, he settled down as a lawyer and notary in Berlin-Spandau and works in the field of inheritance law and real estate law.
