Eckhard Kopetzki

Eckhard Kopetzki (* 1956 in Hanover ) is a German drummer and composer .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1975, Kopetzki first studied music and physics teaching at the University of Osnabrück . From 1979 to 1984 he studied in Würzburg , first at the Hermann Zilcher Conservatory , from 1981 at the University of Music Würzburg , with Siegfried Fink among others . This was followed by teaching at music schools in Bad Mergentheim, Karlstadt / Main and Herzogenaurach. Since 1985 he has been teaching percussion and composition at the vocational school for music in Sulzbach-Rosenberg (Bavaria) . In addition to his work as a composer, he is Deputy Chairman of the German Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and works as a workshop lecturer and as a juror at competitions.

Eckhard Kopetzki mainly composes for percussion , both in the field of instrumental education and in the artistic field. In addition, he wrote commissioned compositions for various ensembles, competitions and orchestras.
