Eckmar Hähnel

Eckmar Haehnel (* the 30th April 1946 in Pirna ) is a German CDU - politician and former member of the Saxon Parliament .

Life

After graduating from secondary school, Eckmar Hähnel completed vocational training as a locksmith and specialist in trade after completing the 10th grade . From 1979 to 1984 a correspondence course in political science followed with a technical college degree .

From 1965 Eckmar Hähnel was chairman of the badminton department of the gymnastics and sports club in Wehlen and from 1990 chairman of the club. He was a board member of the sports committee at the CDU regional association of Saxony.

Hahnel is Protestant, married and has one daughter.

Eckmar Hähnel has been a member of the CDU since 1966 . From 1974 to 1990 he was a member of the village council of Wehlen . From 1974 Hähnel was district manager of the CDU Pirna and from 1985 in the CDU Sebnitz . From 1989 he was a member of the district council and from May 1990 a member of the district committee . In October 1990 he was elected to the Saxon state parliament for the CDU Saxony via constituency 33 (Sebnitz) with a majority of 62.3 percent. There he worked, among other things, in the committee of rules of procedure, in the committee for schools, youth and sport as well as in the committee for culture and media. In connection with the review of the MPs for cooperation with the Ministry of State Security , he resigned on October 21, 1991.
