Ed Bogaard

Ed Bogaard is a Dutch classical saxophonist and music teacher.

Bogaard is one of the founding members of the Nederlands Saxofoon Kwartet (with Leo van Oostrom , Adri van Velsen and Alex de Leeuw ), with whom he has recorded several CDs. He taught saxophone at the Conservatories of Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Groningen and at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven. He also worked as a guest lecturer in Warsaw, Poznan, Rome, Oslo and Gothenburg. His students include Arno Bornkamp , Sander Germanus , Johan van der Linden , Henk van Twillert , Stephan Vermeersch and Magdalena Łapaj . Krzysztof Knittel dedicated his Sonata da camera nr 7 for tenor saxophone and live electronics to him.
